End of Season

The end of the season is nigh, and in fact I have started my holidays already. Time for a small recap.

Working for my own company so far has been very rewarding. Although leaving a position of relative comfort and acknowledged expertise has been a bit scary, it is nice to see such a position is quite easily regained. Well maybe not the comfort, but it only takes a couple of meetings and one presentation to show the new colleagues at least a bit of what they can expect. I’ve noticed the difference as already for some parts I can be a driving factor, without it feeling awkward for my colleagues.

Meanwhile I have also found that just because somebody is not at least bi or trilingual, as is very common in The Netherlands, it says nothing about their further professional qualities. And within my current working environment I have already found a lot of colleagues that can realy make things happen. It’s always nice to find out who are ‘the good guys’ and there are really a lot here. I even found out that some of them reach the same conclusions as me in an independent paths. Definately wth regards to the best practice in how to set up QRM this was very nice to find out. It saves a lot of time in convincing the group on what approach to take, and thus leaves a lot more time to get going. And the results show it, in fact most of the framework is already been configured, and I even had time left to do multiple investigations, and do some preliminary work on the management repository too.

I’ll be back th 3rd, and will enjoy a nice holiday at home until then.
Theo.
